Our bird rescue is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Our passion for rescue work started with our first rescue of a Tawny owl caught in fishing line. This was featured in the Huddersfield Examiner.

Since then we have rescued in the region of 500 owls & birds of prey. All the wild birds that we rescue are returned to the wild whenever it is possible.

We also take in many unwanted captive birds and have caught and reunited many lost or escaped birds to their owners. We need to thank Donaldson’s vets for their fantastic work and constant support.

Numerous nest boxes have been put in place, not just for nesting but for shelter from adverse weather. The Wise Owl team would like to thank all our customers & the public for their generous support.
